Does Viola Davis Dare Defy Shonda Rhimes? What The Star Refuses To Do

Viola Davis stopped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' and talked about her new show, 'How To Get Away With Murder.' It's from TV goddess Shonda Rhimes, and Viola had plenty to say about the famed producer.

Kimmel asked, "Were you working today on the show?"

"Yes, I was working today on the show, Jimmy. Shonda really works you on these shows," Davis answered.

Davis said she's been 'working hard,' but said there's one thing she won't be doing.

Kimmel said Rhimes requires all the stars of her hit 'Scandal' to live-Tweet the episodes.

Kimmel asked, "Are you going to do that for this show?"

"Jimmy, I don't live Tweet," she answered simply.

Does she dare defy Rhimes? Maybe. Davis said it was Rhimes who 'woo'ed her to take the role on
the new show -- but Davis has also defended Rhimes recently.

A New York Times article from last week met outcry for calling Rhimes an 'angry black woman' -- and Davis and other ABC stars came to her defense.

Davis dubbed her "courageous," "innovative" and a "visionary."

To see all Davis' hard work come to life, check out 'How To Get Away With Murder' -- it premieres September 25th on ABC.
