New York Fashion Week might be over, but New Yorkers still got an eyeful of fashion on Tuesday night.

Celebrities, socialites and key ballet figures joined the New York City Ballet at its annual Fall Gala, which features a major collaboration between fashion heavyweights and leading choreographers, according to the New York Observer.

At this year's opening event, NYCB dancers took to the stage in stunning costumes designed by Carolina Herrera, McQueen's Sarah Burton, Thom Browne and Mary Kantrantzou, according to Style.com.

While the costumes were stunning, all eyes were on those who sashayed down the purple carpet, like NYCB board vice chair and "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker, who did not disappoint in a dramatic floor-length gown.
