Would you step up to a fitness challenge from The Rock?

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson instigated a major gym faceoff on Tuesday after posting an Instagram video where he called out fellow health enthusiast, Hugh Jackman.

In the video, the former WWE wrestler hyped up the importance of fitness as he headed to the gym in a torrential downpour.

"We live down here in South Florida. It's hurricane season. But when it is time to go to the gym, we gotta get to the gym ... and there aren't no stoppin' us. But then again, what would Hugh Jackman do?" Johnson finishes off with a huge grin on his face.

Naturally, the equally beefy "Wolverine" star stepped up to the challenge and one day later he posted his own muscle-heavy video.

"Hey DJ. It's not hurricane season, but ... uh ... but its 5:45 (am). We are at the gym. FOCUS!!!" Jackman yells back, calling out Johnson's unofficial motto.

The videos may seem like Johnson was throwing down the gauntlet, but in reality these two are actually fitness friends.

Jackman, 45, revealed to David Letterman that even though he splits his time between Australia and New York, The Rock is his long-distance work out buddy of sorts. When he was filming 2014's "X-Men: Days of Future Past," Jackman followed Johnson's intense workout program.

"You work out three hours a day, six thousand calories a day," Jackman said "I actually eat for eight hours of the day."

Both stars are bulking up for big roles this season, so it is no surprise that they are logging major time with the dumbbells. Johnson, 42, is packing on the muscle for his new role as villain Black Adams in the superhero movie "Shazam." Meanwhile, Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in the "X-Men: Apocalypse" opening in 2016.

Now that the (medicine) ball is back in Johnson's court, we can't wait to see which way he tosses it!
