Top 3 Weird Moments On First New Episode Of 'The View'

"The View" is back with fresh faces Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace, along with longtime host Whoopi Goldberg and off-again, now-back on-again host Rosie O'Donnell. Aside from the newness of it all, the audience was subject to some ... interesting things.

First, we start off with Barbara Walters, sitting on a grand throne. 'This is wonderful, but it's unnecessary, because of course you have my blessings I was told that I would have a crown,' she said.

OK, let's just say it. That was weird. Our second moment is a little bit of a throwback to former "The View" host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Nicolle Wallace announced: 'I am a Republican. We should just get that out of the way.' Rosie O'Donnell, who famously clashed with Hasselbeck, actually didn't slam Wallace. Instead, she said: 'And I really like her, I swear to God.'

Hey, at least she got that out in the open -- although it was fairly obvious to anyone who knows Nicolle Wallace. She worked with the George W. Bush administration for six years.

The reason we said it was a 'throwback' is because former host Hasselbeck is a Republican, and she and Rosie O'Donnell have been in an ongoing feud since 2007. The latest headline? Hasselbeck is NOT happy about O'Donnell returning to the show.

But let's get back to our final fave moment from the show. Off the top, Rosie was sitting cross-legged, and told the audience it's because she has sciatica.

Something WebMD describes as pain affecting the sciatic nerve. Symptoms include leg pain and weakness in one foot or leg.

Sure, she was stretching out her leg on national television, but she did say she got a pedicure so people wouldn't have to look at her "gross" feet. Thanks for that, Rosie!

Some people thought the show was boring, but other seemed to love it. And actress Kristin Chenoweth was one of the lovers, congratulating the ladies on finishing their "first day of school."
