Australian architects design home hanging from cliff
Looking for a home with a view and have a thirst for excitement?
Australian architectural firm Modscape designed this home so it would literally hang off a cliff. The home has not yet been built, but Modscape says if it is, it'll be five stories with a parking garage on top and an elevator to carry you to the various levels.
The designs show the cliff house has everything you need to live comfortably: several bedrooms, a kitchen, a spa and even a barbecue area. But who would live in a house hanging off a cliff?
On its Facebook page, Modscape says the cliff home is a conceptual design for a couple who asked for a vacation home on an extreme piece of land.
And former president of the Royal Institute of British Architects Maxwell Hutchinson told the BBC Modscape's creativity will be costly: "All of these things are expensive because the construction industry hates anything unusual."
Right now, we don't know when and if the cliff home will be built -- but the only thing we know for sure is that it's going to be pricey.
