When Justin Bieber came out to introduce Rita Ora at 'Fashion Rocks,' an annual international fundraiser that took place Tuesday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, he surprised everyone with a live but seemingly staged striptease.

Here's how it went down:

Sporting a powder blue blazer, Bieber took the stage with model Lara Stone to introduce Ora and was received with echoing boos.

He responded by saying he only felt comfortable in his Calvins.

He then asked Stone if 'that was cool,' to which she obliged -- and to which J.B. responded by stripping down ... pants, blazer, black tank top, socks and all.

Justin then stood, six pack flexed, and asked 'Is that better?' at which point the boos quickly changed to cheers.

The trend continued into Ora's performance, during which dancers also appeared in their Calvins. Even Ora stripped down to a sexy bustier.

After the event, Bieber tweeted 'Good times tonight. Thanks for having me tonight #FashionRocks. #mycalvins :).'

He followed that tweet with another, which said: 'Grandma always said kill 'em with kindness...and then strip on live national tv. Lol.'

That's what happened. Your call as to why.

In case you missed it, J. Lo steals the musical portion of the show at 'Fashion Rocks,' proving she's 45 and not afraid to show it with her rump-revealing performance of 'Booty':
