Weekend Superlative: Who made the most embarrassing mistake this week?

Updated

By CHELSEA HUANG

Last week, we asked who you thought was the most foolish: the fugitive who appeared on national TV or the serial bank robber who lost it all at a casino. Sixty-one percent of readers polled voted for Miley Cyrus' VMA guest who accepted her award on national TV.

This week's news cycle might have been abuzz with the 'Celebgate' scandal and remembrances of Joan Rivers, but two stories in particular had us shaking our heads -- and even laughing out loud.

Read below and let us know -- who made the most embarrassing mistake this week?

The establishment that misspelled its own name

More than 900 fleet vehicles belonging to the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority received brand new license plates only to find an embarrassing misspelling on the plate: 'Metropolitan Transporation Authority.'

Some speculated that the full word couldn't fit on the line, but it was really just a major oversight that will cost the state to replace.

The man who opened the pizza box incorrectly

A 19-year-old man who goes by 'SadderDre' on Twitter took to the social media site to air a grievance with Domino's Pizza.

After Domino's replied that they would look into the issue, 'SadderDre' realized that his pizza wasn't 'just bread' and Domino's actually did get his order correctly.

Unfortunately for 'SadderDre,' he waited so long for a response from Domino's that the pizza was stale by the time he ate it.
