Welcome to the 2014 NFL season!

In case you missed it, here's what transpired in the offseason (in 140 seconds). One week ago, we published the first edition of our weekly power rankings and listed the Seahawks as No. 1. Based on what happened Thursday night, the defending Super Bowl champions are poised to make a convincing repeat run.

As for the other serious contenders, they'll surely face big tests right away. The Saints take on the Falcons, while the Niners travel to Dallas and the Broncos square off against the Colts.
