The face of Jesus Christ has been spotted in a Texas moth.

Yvonne Esquilin, of Georgetown, sent a picture of the unusual moth to local television station KXAN last week after noticing the unusual pattern resembling the religious figure's face. She believes it is a sign from the heavens.

"We were just amazed at the size of the moth," she told the station. "It didn't dawn on me until I snapped the picture. At first it looked like Jesus- and I still think it looks like Jesus."

Esquilin had been praying for a sign – something, anything – that her daughter's pursuit of a college degree would continue, she explained.

"I believe this was a sign," she said. "God is letting me know Good News is Coming and to keep the Hope."

Further research led the family to learn that yellow means hope and brown means important news, when seen on a moth.

Sharing it on social media led some to say they saw the Devil in the pattern.

It spent an entire evening at her home before flying away Thursday morning as the sun rose.
