Child expelled from school for mom's Facebook post
A four year-old has been expelled from school because of his mom's Facebook post.
Preschooler, Will Habat is no longer welcome at his private Christian school, Sonshine Christian Academy in Callahan, Florida. It all started after his mother, Ashley posted a critical comment on her personal Facebook page.
After feeling that she didn't have sufficient notice before school pictures day, Ashley posted, "Why is it that every single day there is something new I dislike about Will's school? Are my standards really too high or are people working in the education field really just that ignorant."
While she posted it on her private page, she tagged the Sonshine Christian Academy, which allowed the school to see it.
The next morning, both Will and his mother were called into the principal's office -- where they were handed an official letter of dismissal.
It read: "Your relationship with Sonshine did not get off to a very good start the first day of school. You utilized social media to call into question not only the integrity but the intelligence of our staff. These actions are also consistent with sowing discord which is spoken of in the handbook you signed."
It looks like students aren't the only people that can be forced to leave a school after a Facebook rant. Earlier this month, an Australian school chaplain was fired after posting a comment where he said homosexuality was not normal. He claimed "no-one is born gay."
