Marvel and the Children's Miracle Network set up a special screening of Pratt's latest movie at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, and while the movie was playing the 35-year-old snuck out and greeted the audience dressed as his character Peter Quill, or as he prefers to be called "Star Lord."

Pratt stuck around for more than three hours handing out toys to the kids, signing autographs, taking photos, and spending time with children who were too sick to watch the "Guardians" screening. The actor also spent some of his afternoon with Dylan Prunty, a big fan of Pratt's The Lego Movie.

It doesn't seem like this was a publicity stunt organized by Marvel. Before Guardians of the Galaxy even came out he told Panzer TV that he stole his character's costume with the intent of visiting sick children.

Yeah, if the galaxy ever needs guarding, Chris Pratt is the ideal candidate.
