While the world continues to mourn the loss of Robin Williams, 63, the actor's ashes have found their final resting place near the Tiburon, Calif. home where he died. A source tells HollywoodLife.com how spreading Robin's ashes in the San Francisco Bay is a "fitting" tribute to him.

Robin's death certificate says his ashes were scattered "in San Francisco Bay off the coast of Marin County, CA," on Aug. 12, according to a report by Radar Online.

The Tiburon, Calif. home where Robin sadly committed suicide is located in Marin County. A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Robin loved his community.

"His family's here, his children, and he was a real leader in the community and extremely charitable to different organizations here too," a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about Robin's love of Tiburon. "I'm sure he'd want his final resting place to be here in the bay. He could have lived anywhere on the planet, but wanted to be here. It's only fitting he'd be buried or spread somewhere in the bay."

As we all continue to mourn the loss of a generous, kind and endlessly talented man, HollywoodLife.com has learned that Robin's friend Billy Crystal, 66, will honor Robin at the 2014 Emmy Awards on Aug. 25.

As we previously reported, a very special Emmys tribute in the works for Robin. "Robin Williams will be honored on the show and we will all hear from people for the first time about his death during the telecast," a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com on Aug. 12. "It is going to be a very big tribute." Robin's family might be at the show.

"The family has been invited," a source close to Robin's family told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. "They most likely aren't going to join Billy Crystal on stage and have not decided if they want to attend. They want the night to be about Robin and his memory and they are under the impression that if they are there, it may take a way from what Billy and the show has lined up for the tribute."

Billy's In Memoriam segment was confirmed by Emmys producer Don Mischer on Aug. 20.

Our thoughts continue to be with Robin's loved ones during this difficult time.
