Check this out! A 12-foot Burmese python that slithered into a gated community in Florida Thursday night.

Residents, who were enjoying BBQ before the unwanted guest arrived, called 911...but ended up taking matters into their own hands when they learned it would take at least half an hour before authorities could help them out.

The snake went under a BBQ grill and then other residents came to help.

They managed to get the snake into the grill and under the cover. Then one homeowner bravely used a pillowcase to bag the snake until help arrived. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.

Burmese pythons are known as an invasive species and have trouble finding big enough prey in Florida, making humans are pretty tasty target.

The snake was turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
