Kayla Oxenham, Florida mom, allegedly branded her children

A Florida woman has been charged with felony child abuse after she branded her kids with a burning stick so she would know they were hers.

Police say that 23-year old Kayla Oxenham took a lighter and set a stick on fire, before touching it to her 5 and 7 year old daughters' arms. She told them the burns would help her identify them among other children.

A day care worker noticed the sores and called authorities, who say the kids also reported being beaten.

They're now in child protective custody, and mom is out of jail on a $15,000 bond.
