Dow Chemical's Business President of Energy & Water Solutions on its Key Focus Areas
The Motley Fool's energy analyst, Taylor Muckerman, recently interviewed Larry Ryan, the business president of Dow Energy and Water Solutions at The Dow Chemical Company , while at the 2014 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. Mr. Ryan is also the general manager of oil and gas at The Dow Chemical Company, a leading specialty chemical developer.
In this segment of the interview, Mr. Ryan discusses the company's play in the upstream oil market, as well as the opportunities in the downstream arena. Most people associate Dow Chemical with the downstream sector, using petroleum products as feedstocks to produce plastics, chemicals, etc... However, the company is now involved in nearly every stage of the energy industry.
