Home About To Fall Over 75-Foot Cliff

There's no place like home -- unless that home is beginning to crumble and topple off a 75-foot cliff. A Texas home is teetering on the edge of a cliff after a chunk of earth crumbled and fell 75 feet into the lake below.

Part of the home already went down. Neighbors told CBS they heard a loud noise, caused by a large piece of the home breaking off. Luckily, homeowners were preemptively ordered to leave before their home made its descent, so they weren't injured.

"It was seconds, really. It had already...you could see more and more of the top of the roof," neighbors told WFAA.

The owners of the home have known about the danger of their home for a while -- the sheriff's department said that they noticed a crack in the land under the home about a year ago. Regardless, time was definitely on the homeowner's side. They evacuated their home just two weeks prior to the crumbling.

It won't be long before the whole house takes the plunge. Officials expect the rest of the house worth $700,000 is going to fall in, but it's just a matter of when.
