Dog Reunited With Lost Owner After 800 Km Trek

A month ago, while walking to the World Cup to raise money for drought-stricken Bahia, a state in northeast Brazil, four England fans were joined by what they thought was a stray dog. They nicknamed the dog Jefferson Ramsey Moore and he stuck by them for nearly 500 miles.

Three days before they completed their epic adventure, the men were contacted by the dog's owner, Ignatio 'Nacho' Etchetchury, after he spotted his beloved dog -- who he had originally named Negro (which is Spanish for "black") -- in the local news.

Nacho then hitchhiked close to 500 miles from Solis, Uruguay to Porto Alegre, Brazil -- where the walkers had already arrived for the Cup -- to be reunited with Jefferson.

"Crazy days at 'Walk to the World Cup,'" one walker says while witnessing the emotional reunion between man and his best friend.
