'The Tonight Show': Jonah Hill Apologizes For Homophobic Slur

Jonah Hill dropped by "The Tonight Show" and apologized for the homophobic slur he made this past weekend.

Jonah explained that a papparazzi was antagonizing him, calling him names and attacking him personally. He added that he was hurt by the paparrazi and in response called him a name, which he said he regretted and didn't mean in a homophobic way.

JONAH: "How you mean things doesn't matter, words have weight and meaning and the word I chose was grotesque."
JONAH: "My heart's broken and, and I genuinely am deeply sorry who has ever been effected by that term in their life."

Jonah seemed emotional and heartfelt about his apology and as the LA Times notes, he did not use the word to reflect how he felt about any group of people, adding that he has many gay family members and friends.

Jonah was also at "The Tonight Show" to promote his new movie "22 Jump Street" where he is starring alongside Channing Tatum for another round of hilarity. The movie hits theatres June 13.
