A cunning play during the AFC Challenge Cup game helped secure a Maldives win over Afghanistan. In what appears to be an obvious trick to take the goalkeeper off guard, Maldives player Ashad Ali falls on his face during a penalty shootout, then pops up, and puts the ball into the top corner.

While most people in the arena were confused, including Afghanistan's goalkeeper, the referee concluded no infringement had been made and the goal counted. Maldives went on to win the game 9-8.

But this isn't the greatest trick play we've ever seen, no that would have to be the El Camino Real High School football team's "wrong ball" trick.

To quote Sherlock Holmes: "There's nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact."
