On the season finale of "American Idol," it came down to Jena Irene or Caleb Johnson for the win.
23-year-old Caleb Johnson from Asheville, North Carolina, is the first hard rock and heavy metal singer to ever win the show. The winner also got to perform with the famous rock band, Kiss, getting #KissOnIdol trending on Twitter.
Mlive.com called it "the announcement no one expected," although Johnson's performances that night generated some serious audience cheering.
Entertainment Weekly said both finalists had incredible potential in the music industry.
"If all else fails, [Caleb & Irene] should just tour together. Seriously though, when was the last time a final two sounded so good together?"
But of course, Caleb's next move will be singing with ten contestants on the "American Idol" tour.
