Teen Kicked Out of Prom After Dress Evokes 'Impure Thoughts'

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. - A girl says she was kicked out of a homeschool prom after some fathers at the dance said her dress evoked "impure thoughts," WTVR reports.

The 17-year-old was at the Richmond Homeschool Prom's "Twilight in Paris" dance when the incident occurred. The station says dresses had to be fingertip length.

The girl's family says the dress met the requirement. But she was told to leave after some fathers who were chaperoning said her dress was too short and her dancing was too provocative.

After the incident, the girl wrote about her experience in a blog.

In part, she wrote some of the fathers had complained "her dancing was too provocative" and that it was going to "cause the young men at the prom to think impure thoughts."

There has been no comment from the dance organizers.
