Five LSU Pitchers Combine For No-Hitter

No, the score in the headline isn't a misprint. LSU sent shockwaves through the NCAA by executing a hit parade -- which was supported by a no-hitter, by the way -- on Tuesday night.

Alex Bregman and Tyler Moore each hit grand slams and drove in eight runs, while five pitchers combined for six hitless innings as LSU cruised past Northwestern State 27-0.

Jared Poche (1-0) combined with Kyle Bouman, Nate Fury, Kurt McCune and Joe Broussard for the no-no, which was the first for the Tigers since March 14, 1979, when Bobby Landry beat Southern Mississippi in seven innings.

LSU amassed 23 hits and scored in every inning but the fifth.
