A 3-year-old boy went missing in North Dakota Monday night, and after community members searched for almost seven hours, they finally found him with a unique blanket keeping him warm.

KMSPsays "The Urness family called 911 after their son Carson disappeared from the family farm." KVLYnotes "ATVs and horses showed up... and more footwalkers."

"I lost it I guess you could say."

Little Carson was playing on the family farm when his parents, Courtney and Brock Urness, lost track of him. Nearly 200 people showed up to help find him.

KMSP says they combed about 2,000 acres of land ... and then realized someone else was gone.

"The family realized their dog Cooper was also missing."

Courtney figured if they could find Cooper, they would also find Carson.

But
KVLYsays the search continued for hours without any success.

"By 2 o'clock in the morning, the rain was coming down, and we were at a point we were going to send footwalkers home."

Finally, WDAZsays they found Carson safe - a mile away, with Cooper on top of him.

"I just didn't realize that he would actually be like laying on him and keeping him warm... protecting him."

Carson told his mom that he was scared, but Cooper kept him warm. Carson was reunited with his family, checked out by a doctor and released shortly after.
