An Ohio teen used his prom as an opportunity to make one of his great-grandmother's dreams come true.

89-year-old Dolores Dennison never got to go to her prom because she didn't have enough money, so her 19-year-old great grandson, Austin, asked her to be his date to his senior prom. Grandma DD was a bit resistant at first, but Austin told her there was no other girl he'd rather take to his senior prom.

Austin told Fox News, "I respect my elders greatly. They have a great influence on my life. To be able to sit down and talk to them and learn from them and their experiences is a great thing."

The night started with Austin serenading her with the Goo Goo Doll's "Iris," then they went to have dinner at her favorite restaurant, Bob Evans. After that, it was off to the prom. Making the night even sweeter, Dolores danced with her great-grandson to Frank Sinatra's 1941 hit "Dolores," a song her late husband used to sing to her.

After the event Dolores said her date was a perfect gentleman, and everything one would expect of a young man.
