A carjacker took off with 7-year-old twins and a 1-year-old baby in San Antonio -- but he didn't get far.

"Mom says she went back into the house to get a baby bottle, and some guy jumped in her car with her twins and her 1-year-old," HLN reports.

The man reportedly drove the kids nearly ten miles across town before he gave up because of the twins' courageous actions.

"The twins attacked the suspect. Kicking him and beating him with a toy snake."

Although the boys' mother was reluctant to buy the toy snake, she told TXCN, "I guess God knew he was going to use it today."

"He could've pushed them out of the car. He could've been very mean, and I thank God that at least he put that in his heart to get them out of the car."

The mom saw the man walking up the street while she was running back inside the house to grab a bottle.

According to WOAI, the suspect smiled at her and she smiled back ... and while she was in her house, the man drove off with her kids.

The San Antonio Police chief spoke highly of the twins' actions. "Those two little boys reacted very courageously by trying to fight this guy off."

The kids were unharmed and were safely reunited with their family. WOAI says the police are still looking for the suspect.
