Fantasy Football Stock Draft: How Are We Doing?
Back in August, several Motley Fool analysts sat down to play the stock version of a fantasy football draft. Each picked several stocks over a number of rounds, and have watched their performance over the "season" since then. Today, two of the participants, Matt Koppenheffer and Billy Kipersztok, sit down to discuss how some of Billy's picks have performed since then.
Billy looks at American Tower and its depressed position in the market back in August when the REIT sector was taking a beating; its low starting point plus strong performance since then have led it to be the best performer in his draft pick portfolio.
To the shock of many however was Berkshire Hathaway's performance as the worst performer in the portfolio. Billy discusses investor fears around the idea that it may have a hard time maintaining its historic growth rates at this size, and says that with its price to book ratio having fallen to around 1.3, below its historic average, now may be a good buying opportunity.
Billy finishes by discussing why the growing trend of electronic payments has him bullish on eBay and MasterCard for years to come.
Is now the time to buy Berkshire Hathaway?
