Pope Francis' mini-me sobs when meeting the pontiff

Pope Francis has an adorable mini-me ... who wasn't all that impressed by the real deal.

"Good Morning America" says Pope Francis met his adorable mini-me at the Vatican Wednesday morning. Francis picked up the child to give him a kiss, but 19-month-old Daniele De Sanctis wasn't having any of it and began sobbing. His mother says she dressed up her son to show affection for Pope Francis.

Daniele and other youngsters were dressed up for Carnival, a festival that draws comparisons to Mardi Gras in the U.S.

Italy's tourism department says during this time, people don elaborate costumes and throw parties to celebrate before Lent begins.

We hope Daniele brightened up soon afterward. After all, he's the cutest pope we've ever seen.
