Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay talk on-screen love in "Winter's Tale"

Colin Farrell and 'Downtown Abbey' starlet Jessica Brown Findlay open up to AOL.com's Brian Balthazar about finding on-screen chemistry in their new film "Winter's Tale."

Based on the Mark Helprin 1983 fantasy novel of the same name, "Winters Tale" follows Peter Lake, a burglar, (played by Colin Farrell) who falls in love with a young heiress (played by Jessica Brown Findlay).

Their courtship blossoms, but is upended by forces of evil that threaten to sabotage their love. A time-jumping battle of good and evil follows.

Findlay and Farrell reveal that their on-screen chemistry was all about letting go. "You could prep and prep and prep," Findlay says, "But eventually you just kind of have to let it all go."

That is sound advice considering that Farrell spent more time rehearing with the flying-horse in the film than he did with his leading lady.
