Kraft making changes to popular product

Kraft says it's making some changes to Kraft singles, one of its more popular products.

'After five years of testing, Kraft is now removing artificial preservatives from its Kraft Singles. The full-fat American and white-American cheese slices only apply,' 'Fox & Friends' explains.

'That's even though the FDA says those preservatives are safe,' HLN adds. 'Kraft is looking into doing this for other products, but it's starting with its top-sellers first.'

CBS says Kraft is making this change because its customers are making an effort to stick to foods they feel are natural.

This isn't the first time the company has changed its recipes to please its customers. In October, Kraft announced it was removing artificial coloring from several of its products.

At the time, the company said the decision was not influenced by a Change.org campaign started by food bloggers in March. It asked Kraft to remove the unnecessary artificial dyes from its products, and the campaign gained plenty of traction.

Time reports Kraft will have the preservative-free cheese products on shelves within the next few weeks.
