2014 Travel Forecast: Most Hotly Anticipated Trips
To closeout the year, AOL Travel asked our colleagues at MapQuest about their 2013 travel and plans for next year. Despite being busy with the releases of critically acclaimed major updates to their iPhone and Android apps, MapQuest employes took some killer trips in 2013. And it looks like they've got no plans to slow down in 2014 either. Responses are in no particular order. We've shared our own, too. Readers, feel free to do likewise in the comments.

Jess Moss, Senior Editor: The only trip I actually have planned -- three-generation family trip to Portugal for my grandma's 85th
Jake Thiewes, Editor: I think a serious beach vacation to the Outer Banks is in order. Or somewhere more exotic that's not planned yet!
