Soldier surprises his mom for Christmas

Kelly Geisler, a caregiver at a senior center, knew that this Christmas wouldn't be the same without her beloved son.

Michael is serving in Afghanistan with the US Army National Guard. 'It'll be OK, I'll get through it,' Kelly says positively. 'It's a lot of sacrifice, but it's important to our country. I have good days and I have bad days, but they tell me he'll have Christmas off so he can call home on Christmas Day.'

Then, the phone at the senior center rang. As she went to answer it, her son walked in. After Kelly got over her shocked delight, she yelled 'how did you do this?!' and cried very, very happy tears.

Thanks to Michael -- who wasn't due home until February -- Kelly will really have a Christmas to remember.

Michael says that after spending some time at home, he will enlist in the army full time.
