Oil and gas exploration company Pioneer Natural Resources this week announced plans to keep its biannual dividend steady at $0.04 per share.

The company has paid this amount to shareholders since March 2009, after dropping its payout 75% from $0.16 per share in order to apply the $14 million worth of funds to a share buyback program .

Pioneer's latest amount will be payable on Oct. 11 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 30. Annualized, the amount adds up to $0.08 per share. As of market close on Aug. 16, Pioneer's stock was trading at $170.29, which means the company's dividend yields approximately 0.04%.
