CommVault Systems Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

EPS came in at $0.40. The 16 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.34 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.40 for Q1 were 33% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.30 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.27 for Q1 were 29% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.21 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 86.8%, 50 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 15.9%, 110 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 10.0%, 90 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $139.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.39.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $577.4 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.66.
