With Hong Kong and Singapore representing the two most established concert markets in Asia outside Japan, Live Nation has announced that it has formed a joint venture with Lushington Entertainments to promote concerts in the countries. The first joint effort will be a Linkin Park concert in Hong Kong on Aug. 15.

Lushington has been operating in the region since 1990, while Live Nation commenced operations in Hong Kong and Singapore in 2005. The former was established to promote Eric Clapton's first Asian tour, and the latter promoted seven sold-out Lady Gaga performances in Hong Kong last year in the two countries.

Live Nation CEO and President Michael Rapino said: "Live Nation continues to enhance and expand our global footprint. Our new joint venture with Lushington will increase our presence in Asia and enable us to bring more live entertainment to more fans in Hong Kong, Singapore, and throughout the region."

The two companies have previously worked together on concerts for Sting, Roxette, and Big Bang. The joint venture will be called Live Nation Lushington.
