Grim Facade: Cost of Jealousy - Review
ERS Game Studios has again delivered us with their high-quality game. Grim Facade: Cost of Jealousy is the third game in the Grim Facade franchise, so does it plays well?
Grim Facade: Cost of Jealousy has a fairly tragic love-triangle, the game starts out pretty simple about a dead of a man but the the story keeps develop as you play. Love-Triangle theme of Hidden Object Adventure game is surely hasn't been done a lot of time, and that is what makes Grim Facade 3 feels new despite its familiar gameplay.

What we mean by familiar gameplay? We mean that the gameplay is nothing really innovative especially when compared to other games by ERS-G; Grim Facade 3 might feels like revisiting your old buddies. Interactions are simple, characters look nice but common and the music is definitely old ones with few tweaks. Anyway, Grim Facade 3 plays very well in terms of smoothness and quality. One feature in Grim Facade 3 that was not including in the previous games is the cleverly-designed Journal. Apart from the notes you collected, puzzles clues and the story - your Journal also include list of suspects, their motivations and evidence against them; really smart! Graphics in Grim Facade: Cost of Jealousy are ERS's perfection; nice colors, crisp and beautiful.
The feature of collecting coins where you can buy useful items in the shop is still available in this third sequel - the collectible 'hint' fans feature is also still there. Hidden Object scenes made up of three different types; List, interactive and finding number of items - although scenes are little bit cluttered, their looks are great and are not too difficult. Most of the times, puzzles are on the easy side. They are typical but with some twists; there are even some puzzles that feel 'special' and that we were specially enjoyed playing them.
The main game lasts a solid 3-4 hours and the plot wraps up neatly. However, the Bonus Chapter unexpectedly continues the story so you will get a different ending if you purchased the Collector's Edition. Moreover, Grim Facade: Cost of Jealousy is heavy on Extras - Screensavers, Wallpapers, Concept Art, Soundtracks, Strategy Guides, replayable Hidden Object scenes and Puzzles and a fun Trivia game where you can answer questions about the game and earn trophies.
Grim Facade: Cost of Jealousy is a refreshing change from ERS, with excellent plot, fantastic graphics and entertaining gameplay. By the way, the Collector's Edition is loaded with Extras in case you consider buying it!
