There are a host of websites and apps to help you with this, but my personal favorite is MyFitnessPal. It's free, it has most common foods pre-loaded into its database, and it's easy to add your own favorites. With minimal effort, you can input your goals, get the program's estimate of the number of calories you should be consuming, and start tracking your weight-loss progress.
