Radian Group Outruns Estimates Again

EPS came in at -$0.21. The six earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated -$0.52 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.11 for Q3 were 92% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.37 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 27.2%, 2,160 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 7.7%, 3,220 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 5.5%, 3,050 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $228.4 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is -$0.53.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $820.7 million. The average EPS estimate is -$2.71.
