Shanda Games Misses on Revenue but Beats on EPS

EPS came in at $0.19. The six earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.18 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.17 were the same as the prior-year quarter.

For the quarter, gross margin was 62.4%, 180 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 31.4%, 400 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 27.3%, 420 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $201.4 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.20.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $824.4 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.83.
The stock has a three-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 315 members out of 326 rating the stock outperform, and 11 members rating it underperform.
