John F. Kennedy Hotel Bellevue Boston

We're having a sort of love affair with presidents' former homes (such as the dingy apartment Barack Obama used to live in). And this place has our heart beating fast once again: an apartment in the landmark Boston building where the late John F. Kennedy plotted his first political campaign.

Formerly known as the Hotel Bellevue, Kennedy rented in the building after World War II. The cozy 330-square-foot studio apartment we have our eyes on isn't the exact one Kennedy lived in -- but it's close enough. Bonus: It's pretty cheap, relatively speaking, asking $289,900.

According to the listing, the building, which was constructed in 1899, now features a concierge, "elegant common areas," an elevator and laundry facilities on every floor.

The studio has access to a common roofdeck with "magnificent and sweeping city views." The apartment itself boasts a renovated kitchen and bathroom, high ceilings and original details from the 1890s.
