F5 Networks Hits Estimates in Solid Quarter

EPS came in at $1.14. The 39 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $1.14 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.91 for Q3 were 18% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.77 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 82.9%, 90 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 31.2%, 80 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 20.5%, 100 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $376.6 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.24.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $1.39 billion. The average EPS estimate is $4.50.
The stock has a three-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 691 members rating the stock outperform and 59 members rating it underperform.
