FarmVille to get a lot more talkative with incoming live chat feature
You know, just in case you forgot that Facebook Chat is right beside every Facebook game ever. FarmVille Freak has uncovered an unreleased FarmVille loading screen that teases an upcoming chat feature. Tentatively titled "Chat With Your Neighbors," we assume this upcoming update will allow players to chat with their friends in real time while playing.
Of course, the player on the other end would have to be online, so there would have to be some kind of indicator for whether fellow players are online. This could prove to be a boon for cooperative in-game features like Co-op Farming. Based on the image above, players will not only get to chat with their friends in real time, but send them gifts on the fly.
It's tough to look at this imminent feature (that's subject to change) and not draw comparisons between it and Zynga's brand spanking new Zynga.com (which oddly lacks FarmVille). The developer's very own social game platform allows players to chat in real time regardless of what game they're playing as well as send energy. That said, this feature could either solidify FarmVille's place on Facebook or prepare it for a trip to Zynga.com.
