Sinclair Broadcast Group Meets on Revenues, Misses on EPS

EPS came in at $0.28. The four earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.32 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.28 for Q4 were 35% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.43 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 61.0%, 980 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 29.8%, 840 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 10.7%, 400 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $220.3 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.33.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $950.1 million. The average EPS estimate is $1.48.
