Weingarten Realty Investors (NYS: WRI) hasn't been able to establish an earnings trend, bouncing between beating and falling short of estimates during the past fiscal year. The company will unveil its latest earnings on Tuesday, August 2. Weingarten Realty Investors is a real estate investment trust whose business include leasing space to tenants in the shopping and industrial centers and also manage centers for joint ventures.

- Buy, sell, or hold?: Analysts generally think investors should hang on to Weingarten Realty Investors, with half rating the stock a hold. Analysts don't like Weingarten Realty Investors as much as competitor Entertainment Properties overall. Four out of six analysts rate Entertainment Properties a buy compared to seven of 14 for Weingarten Realty Investors. Analysts haven't adjusted their rating of Weingarten Realty Investors for the past three months.
- Revenue Forecasts: On average, analysts predict $138.3 million in revenue this quarter. That would represent a decline of 0.3% from the year-ago quarter.

The community is of two minds on the stock with 54.5% Fools giving it an "outperform" rating and 45.5% an "underperform" rating. Fools are gung-ho about Weingarten Realty Investors, though the message boards have been quiet lately with only 36 posts in the past 30 days. Weingarten Realty Investors' bearish CAPS rating of one out of five stars falls short of the Fool community sentiment.
