Two unruly Chinese travel writers flying to a press junket on the resort island of Cebu in the Philippines on Saturday tried to choke Eldon Cruz, who asked them to be quieter. Cruz, as it happens, is the Philippine President's brother-in-law.

The two writers were shipped out of the country on Sunday evening then blacklisted so they can never go back.

Agence France Press reports that the pair was scheduled to participate in a tour of the island, which has become an increasingly popular destination over the last few years and could become a more common Chinese destination.

The two writers names were not released, which is a pity. Those articles would have probably been pretty great.
