Jasmijn Rijcken, Bicycling Dutch Tourist, Pulled Over By NYPD for Being 'Too Sexy'

Jasmijn Rijcken, a Dutch tourist, was pulled over by NYPD while riding a bicycle because she was "too sexy," the New York Daily News reports.

Rijcken, a bike shop owner who was in town for the New Amsterdam Bike Show, was biking around town on a sunny May day when she was pulled over by a cop in SoHo for bearing too much skin.

"He said it's very disturbing, and it's distracting the cars and it's dangerous," Rijcken told the paper. "I thought he was joking around but he got angry and asked me for ID."

Rijcken didn't get a ticket for the incident nor did she get the officer's name but she told the Daily News, "I didn't even think for one second that my outfit could be harmful or disturbing."

Rijcken took the incident to heart, saying she changed into pants when she got back to her hotel. "I didn't want to get into trouble again."

NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne told the paper: "Whether this story bears even a modest semblance of what actually occurred is impossible to establish without being provided the purported officer's name and getting his side of the story."
