Weiner's Queens Apartment Now Off the Market

Just a little while before Anthony Weiner announced to the world that he didn't have sex with that woman (whoops, wrong politician!), he and his "is she pregnant or not?" wife Huma Abedin withdrew from the market a Forest Hills Gardens co-op they had had listed for $449,000.

Good thing, since the disgraced congressman has been holed up in it since the scandal broke earlier this week. His much-photographed face and other parts haven't been seen in Washington.

Why withdraw the home from the market?

No-brainer here folks. Word was bound to get out that the unit belonged to the congressman and his missus and the lookie-loo factor would have skyrocketed. What's the point? Lookie-loos aren't serious buyers.

And had there been any doubt that the listing was actually the sexting congressman's, the proof was in the pussy -- the very sweet-looking kitty who appears in a listing photo also makes a cameo in one of those lewd pictures Weiner has copped to sending (photo title: "me and the pussies"). Frankly, we're glad the cat's honor was spared.

As for the 875-square-foot apartment, it has two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, and was unlisted for sale in May, according to StreetEasy. Watch it come back on the market at a higher price. Since when is scandal not good for business?

The pregnancy talk would explain why the home had been listed; expanding families need more room.
