In case you didn't know, we here at AOL Travel are sort of obsessed with time lapse videos. This video, entitled 'Manhattan in Motion,' takes on the monstrous task of filming Manhattan in time lapse.

The results are pretty spectacular. Unbelievable aerial shots of Times Square are interspersed with shots of the Hudson River, the crowded and sunlight avenues and calm, people-less views.

The video, by Vimeo user Mindrelic, took a little over a month to create, he reports.

Filmed between March 12th and April 29th, he used views from hotels as the basis for the video.

There is something even more startling about filming cities in time lapse form. Of course, this isn't the first time lapse of New York (and it won't be the last) that we've seen and loved. Check out James Ogle's incredible time lapse of monuments and famous buildings around town, including Grand Central Station, Lincoln Center and even the Pepsi sign in Long Island City.

Our own Chris Anderson went to Hong Kong and filmed an awe-inspiring video from the Ritz Carlton, the world's tallest hotel. Vimeo user Philip Bloom went to Vegas and filmed '24 Hours in Neon,' and even this sweet time lapse of Seoul.

How does this one compare? Check it out below.
