Job Prospects Got You Down? Watch This Video
When you're down, and troubled, and you need a helping hand -- like now, after reading the latest unemployment numbers -- you've got a friend on YouTube.
This little guy's exultation after riding a bike, all by himself, for the first time, is sure to bring a smile to your face, even if you've just received what seems like your billionth standard-form email rejection letter.
The little guy's message, of feeling "happy of myself" for accomplishing a cherished goal, can't help but lift you up.
"Everybody! I know you can believe in yourself!" he shouts happily. "If you believe in yourself, you will know how to ride a bike!" (This is where you sub in, "get a job," "get a raise," "get a promotion.")
"If you don't, you just keep practicing! You will get the hang of it, I know it!"
Ah yes, that age-old message of persistence pays off. If at first you don't succeed -- never give up. Truer, more sincere words were never spoken, and they've never been delivered at a better time. Go ahead, watch the video. There isn't a more inspiring way to spend the next 58 seconds.
To quote our young, easy-riding friend: "Thumbs up everybody! Rock 'n' roll!"
