Now Hiring: Aflac
Aflac is going on a recruiting spree. Not only did they get a new voice for their iconic mascot duck, but they want new agents -- lots of them. They're so eager to bring on thousands of new agents that they're running commercials for them, and now they've painted a NOW Hiringad on the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion driven by Carl Edwards in the All-Star Race in Charlotte, NC.
The NOW Hiring design is part of the 'Take Flight' national recruitment campaign to attract potential Aflac agents. The campaign is attempting to showcase the fact that not only can a career with Aflac be lucrative, but the company has been repeatedly recognized as one of the most ethical and best places to work in America.
"Aflac lets you balance work and family life while representing the leading provider of supplemental insurance," said Tom Giddens, senior vice president and director of Sales at Aflac. "You bring the passion and we'll set you up with best in class training and all the tools you'll need to succeed – like Carl Edwards, you'll be in victory lane in no time."
OK, so that's the connection to the race car.
One thing that's important to note: Aflac agents are independent agents and are not actually employees of Aflac. So you would be selling their insurance products, not actually working for the company itself. There are quite a few full-time positions that would actually put you on the company payroll, however, and you can find them on the Aflac employment page.
Aflac is actually giving out a phone number to call for more information about a sales career with the company: 800-292-9242. Or you can visit the special website, JoinAflac.com.
