Politician Busted for Watching Porn in Session

politician watching porn If you're one of those people who think that some of the things U.S. congressmen do in session is obscene, you should take a look at what one Indonesian lawmaker did. Arifinto (who goes by one name) recently quit politics because he was caught watching pornography on his tablet computer during a session of parliament.

Arifinto was busted by someone who took a photograph of him watching porn on his computer during a heated plenary session. He claims he had just opened a link in an e-mail sent to him from an anonymous person, and that the porn was not stored on his computer.

This might not be such a big deal in some places, but in Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim nation, pornography is strictly forbidden.

Arifinto is taking full responsibility for his actions. He told the Jakarta Post that he was leaving politics of his own volition, and that no one was pressuring him. He also apologized to the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) to which he belonged. In addition, he said, "I will also continue to introspect and work to improve the quality of my personality by seeking input from clergy, donating to the poor, and any other good gestures during my life in this world."

Now that sounds like a sincere apology.
